Unit 1
Pinch Pot cut in half with this piece as you can see in the picture I struggled with making everything the same thickness.
Pinch pot made into something. I made this intending to paint it a watermelon. but it never came out of the kiln.
Animal Project. The platypus I made to the right was one of the pieces I learned the most from. I saw that I needed to use a smaller brush when glazing so I could get into the crevices. I also learned to not make things to thin. Because my platypus broke the time before and I had to recreate it.
Historically Inspired piece, I think that I did a very good job glazing this piece getting in all the crevicies, but feel short when mmaking this look like an actual dagger. I think i need to make it a little less wide and make it look more jagged if I were to make it again thats what id do.
Relief Tile. I was going to make this the jappanese flag but It also never came out of the kiln. could've made a more fun relief tile.
Unit 3
Coild Building project. First off I want to say I think this was my most creative piece and probably the best I made. Although I am super frustrated at myself with how bad my glazing job was. I didn't get into all the crevices and could've used more coats so it wasn't so spochy. glazing is the most important part of the piece, it makes or breaks it. Learned it the hard way.
Moster Project. I have this piece glazed and in the kiln right now. I think this was my best piece I couldve glazed a bit better because I feel like a mighteve missed a spot or 2 but I dont know since it hasnt came out yet
Unit 5
At first I made it too fat at the front and needed to make it more even all the way down to the tail. Then I made it more sleek and I was Happy about it before I glazed it. The only thing I would do differently is choose a different glaze
The Hardest part of thise piece was the lips for me I tried over and over and just put the ones I have on. If I could redo it I would spend more time on the lips.
I Like how the glazing turned out. If I was going to do it Again I would glaze underneath the flowers to get all of the white spots.
